Meet Our Founder
Dwight A.
Originally from Columbus, OH, Dwight relocated to the Tampa/Clearwater, FL area in 2013 to be closer to Full Sail University, where he would complete his undergraduate Bachelor’s Program in Sports Management and a Master’s Degree program in Entertainment Business. Prior to relocation, he also completed an Associates Degree program in Business Management from Columbus State Community College. As a former collegiate athlete, and a vast network of friends who became professional athletes, Dwight had visions of a career in sports management and the changes athletes faced in advanced personal branding. In a very saturated and challenging industry, Dwight became a successful healthcare recruiter while trying to make his break into sports management.
Since relocating to Florida, his passion and love for watersports grew. During the pandemic, Dwight was faced with challenges like the rest of the world, and during that time, Jet Gang Watersports was born. Realizing a niche need for a “delivery service” for jet ski rental, Dwight began to build out his “modern, innovative” watersports vision. Seeing an enormous amount of success, he then begin to explore options of scaling and growing the business with new products and services. The Jet Car then came onto his radar, and he begin to thoroughly research the product and connect himself with various manufacturers. Forming strong alliances, contracts, and agreements with manufacturing leaders in the jet car business, JGWS then transitioned into a Jet Car specific dealership.
Extremely passionate about the Jet Car and the watersports industry, he is fully committed to be a driving force in the future of this product. Dwight plans to position JGWS as an undeniable leader that customers can trust through transparent, moral, and ethical business practices. Dwight is also very passionate and adamant about the future community and philanthropic work that JGWS will provide to local communities. “We sell fun!” says Dwight, “but we will also ensure that every customer, buyer or not, leaves with a lasting positive impression of JGWS and our staff”.
